Explore your imagination with the art of collage. Collage can be as simple or complex as you like. The process is spontaneous, which makes it fun. This technique is appropriate for all levels of experience with art making from 0 and beyond. Come gather and create.
Class description: Starting with a sheet of 11x14 lightweight printmaking paper, we will learn to compose a collage. Miriam will show how to compile images and best practices to cut and lay out a compelling composition.
Class members are encouraged to bring magazines, books, catalogs, ideally sourced from second hand sources, that have colorful images to cut out and play with, and any other images found such as postcards or cards from art gallery shows.* Personal photos can also be incorporated into a collage.
Punch card purchase allows you to participate in 4 collage classes/sessions or you can purchase per class/session.
If you purchase 1x and decide you would like to purchase a punch card...let us know. CAC will roll your payment amount into the cost of a punch card.
